Bike Handling Skills Clinics - ongoing - call or email us for info

There is something for everyone in these clinics, from the true beginners to experienced cyclists, there is plenty to learn!

The clinics are customized to fit the needs of your group...... group riding etiquette and safety from beginner to advanced, as well as triathlete sessions including transitions, mounts and dismounts, everything and anything from shifting, cornering, braking to wheel touches, bunny hops, and bottle pick ups!!!

Group size maximum is 12 riders.  The session is approximately 2 hours.

You will learn about bike safety and bike handling by participating in several drills. Some drills will take place on grass and some in a parking lot (closed to cars!) There will be drills to help you with proximity (riding close to others), turning corners and 180's (turning around), braking and stopping, and overall balance/control.

You will learn how you respond and how your bike responds in 'uncomfortable' situations and how to handle yourself and your bike in these situations. All participants are encouraged to bring running shoes as well as cycling shoes to the clinic....not being clipped in to your bike will sometimes eliminate a bit of fear and allow you to do some things on your bike you may be hesitant to do if you are clipped in. As with any cycling endeavor there is considerable risk involved.  You MUST have a helmet on at all times during the clinic and full finger gloves are recommended.

For more information or to schedule a clinic for your cycling or tri club or group please contact norm@gorillamultisport.com

San Diego County clinics are $400 for 6 -12 participants.  A small travel fee will be added for travel outside San Diego County.
